FAIRFIELD SENIOR’S GOLF SECTION
PLAY COMPETITIONS EVERY TUESDAY MORNING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
The Seniors Section is open to all playing senior Fairfield Golf Club members over 55 of all standards.
Rather more than a mundane rollup played by grumpy old men, the Senior’s Section offers an exciting array of competitions, opens, knockouts, inter-club league and friendly matches and a great deal of camaraderie, banter and fun throughout the year.

The entire show is run by a fantastic and dedicated team who do a wonderful job to make the whole thing run smoothly and efficiently.
The year culminates in a Senior Section Dinner where the Champions of the Year are honoured at an awards ceremony.
If you are interested in joining the Senior Section, you should contact us through this website and will we pass your name onto them so that they can enrol you for just £5 subscription per year.

Competing in regular club competitions should be fun but you also need a chance to win something against the low handicappers, young bucks and big hitters. Playing in the Seniors means that you can do just that. And you have plenty of opportunities with our packed calendar of competitions and events.

Most of our Single Medal and Stableford competitions in the summer season are handicap qualifiers so you’ll have ample opportunity to maintain a fair and playable WHS recognised handicap index.

Whether you’re a beginner, high, low or mid-handicapper, you’re most welcome to join us. From Seniors who’re current playing members at Fairfield Golf Club or if you’re an over 55 looking to join a club that is renowned for it’s welcome and friendliness, and be able to maintain a current WHS handicap, then you can’t go wrong at Fairfield.
Golf is a fascinating game. I’ve taken nearly 40 years to discover that I can’t play it.
Golf, like the measles, should be caught young, for, if postponed to riper years, the results may be serious.
If you’re caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron.
